Youtuber ‘Etika’ Passed Away by Suicide (Trigger Warning)
Daniel Desmond Amofah, a.k.a. Etika, a popular gaming vlogger and streamer with more than 800,000 YouTube followers, passed away by suicide at the age of 29.
Etika had gone missing since June 19th, 2019. Before he went missing, he posted a video on YouTube where he talked about his mental health issues, and feeling suicidal. Etika also apologised for pushing people away. YouTube took the video down, but users kept re-uploading the video.
The New York City Police found Etika’s body on June 24th.
I have no idea what you’re going through. What I do know is that people will tell you to suck it up, regardless of your issue. The good news is that you can always talk to somebody about how you’re feeling or what you’re thinking. Your life is worth living.
